As a coach I work on the assumption that everybody is a genius, a Picasso of some sort, which makes my job so thrilling.

When people tap into their essence, life flows and miracles happen. The joy of being a coach is being able to help unearth that genius in another person. It is there, without exception.

For some people finding their brilliance is an easy discovery and for others it takes some digging and searching. And when it surfaces, it is a wonderful thing. People’s faces change, their lives suddenly have a deeper and more satisfying meaning and everything falls into perspective. It is like discovering a road in the dark. When before there was fear, confusion and hesitation, now there is relief, purpose and direction.

Finding your divine essence doesn’t have to be hard. We are all brimming with it. Staying on course can be a bit more challenging and it takes practice to follow your path.

Here’s a simple ‘unearth your true self’ exercise.

Follow your intuition today and answer this simple question:

“What are the gems, the unique treasures that make me who I am?”

Tune in and let the answers bubble up. Don’t force it, simply discern what it is that sets you apart from others and that connects you with your essence, your inner happy child. Write down your answers whenever you get a clear and positive response. At the end of the day, review your list. Keep what truly resonates with you, the things that make you feel good about yourself and your life.

In your heart you already know who you are and what’s on your path. Becoming aware of it is the first step in uncovering your true nature. It’s all you have to do at this point. The answer to what’s next will show up when you are ready.

As always, thanks for reading!
