“Anything worth doing is worth doing now!” – Ralph Stayer
I talk to women every day who want some sort of change in their lives. Some of them have no idea what that could be, others do but aren’t sure what steps to take. And some know exactly what they want to change and how to go about it.
What many of them have in common is that they are waiting.
They are waiting for the right moment to arrive, for the money to show up, for the circumstances to be better, for the weight to come off, for the husband to find a job, for the kids to leave the house, and for the boss to retire.
If there is something you want to change in your life, do it today. Waiting won’t chase away the fear; it won’t make the vision any clearer, or the situation any more perfect.
What makes the fear disappear is taking active steps in the right direction.
Here is the paradox: the minute you do, you’ll realize that the time couldn’t be more perfect. The picture will get clearer and you’ll see the opportunities right in front of you. However, you can’t see that until you take the first step.
These steps don’t have to be big. As a matter of fact, they can be tiny.
Make one phone-call. Sign up for a class. Get a new hair-cut. Put on different glasses. Pick a flower. Ride your bike. Send a letter.
What will happen is that you’ll start building your appetite. Your appetite for bigger steps, different actions, more aliveness, and a better life.
Go for it. If you don’t know how to do it, check out my new book ALIVE. It will help you to find the answers you are looking for.
With love,
Karin
